Cn Train Back On Tracks

Cn Train Back On Tracks - 29/12/2009

A main CN rail line between Winnipeg and Rainier is running again after a minor derailment near Middlebro at around 6 a.m. on Sunday.

Eight cars and two locomotives went off the tracks, according to CN spokesperson Patrick Waldron.

The line reopened early Monday morning.

The derailed parts of the train remained upright. No injuries have been reported.

The cars were used as general freight containers. A CN investigation confirmed no dangerous goods were involved and there was no environmental impact to the surrounding area.

The cause of the derailment is still under investigation.
