We are looking for an Analyst, Bids & Proposals for our Mississauga facility Reliability, availability, maintainability and safety are crucial factors in providing service-friendly systems and trains. Our unparalleled expertise, innovative approach and customized solutions enable us to supply complete life-cycle service and support for ever-more sustainable rail operations. Your Role The primary purpose of the position is to assist with the Blue Book Process and with the development of Proposals to customers in the BTNA Services market. It is envisaged that the Analyst will transition in time to the position of Specialist and will be responsible for of managing a Bid from Project Launch to Proposal Delivery. These activities are targeted at producing winning strategies for Bombardier whilst at the same time mitigating risk and enhancing the profitability of each contract. Your Challenges In working with Business Development, the Client, and Consultants, define the needs of the Client to ensure that we can create real value that is above that which is offered by our competition. Assist internal resources in developing operating and resource plans that provide value to the Client. Develop costs on operating/maintaining a fleet in all areas. Gain a thorough knowledge of the various tools which are used in support of our Bids and Proposals. These include, at a minimum, Maintenance Cost Models, Benchmarking models, Competitive Analysis and Risks + Opportunities tools. Assist with the representation of Services in support of all internal reviews (Whitebook, Bluebook, etc) for all planned proposals. Support the Director of Bids & Proposals by aiding in the development of improved narratives, lean systems, shared sites and other activities reducing the investment and improving the quality of all proposals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications Bachelors Degree in a related field with an understanding of Business, Engineering and Finance is required. A minimum 5 years experience in rail transit or related fields is required. Extensive experience working with spreadsheets, databases, and scheduling programs; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project is required. An understanding of ERP solutions such as SAP and Maintenance software such as Maximo and Spear. Strong English communication skills are required; knowledge of French and/or German would be an asset. Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time (Canada and the U.S).
