We are looking for a Buyer for our Mississauga (Ontario) facility

Bombardier provides state-of-the-art systems that enable rail vehicles to operate at increased speed and track capacity without compromising the very high safety standards. Our solutions have been delivered to 50 countries worldwide. In addition, Bombardier is developing applications that will lead to an environmentally friendly driving style, heightening our environmental contribution and provision of value based solutions to our customers.

Your Role

As a Buyer, you will have to analyse, negotiate, and purchase material for aftermarket sales. You will also assist in sourcing/obtaining new suppliers while ensuring they meet Bombardiers quality standards. The Buyer is responsible to evaluate and maintain proper inventory levels on a multitude of aftermarket parts.He works with suppliers to process orders quickly and delivered on time.

Your Challenges
Source, negotiate and develop new and strong vendor relations to enhance our competitive position and offering;
Analyse and establish proper inventory levels that minimize carrying costs and provide excellent customer service;
Liaison with Supply Management in St-Bruno for combined cost savings on material, considering leverage opportunities;
Help maintain control of Bombardier Intellectual Property at vendor sites by ensuring it is not used in after market by anyone but us.
Ensure respect of distributed Agreements in coordination with Contract Department;
Develop strategy to reduce number of suppliers and lead negotiation of pricing and tooling issues including terms, freight, customs & insurances.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications
College Diploma is preferred;
Minimum of 5 years experience as a buyer.
Previous experience in transportation or manufacturing industries will be highly preferred;
Good understanding between the balance of costs to carry inventory vs lost opportunity in sales;
Good knowledge of SAP, MRP and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project);
Must be project driven (multi-tasking) and detail orientated.
