We are looking for a CAD Analyst-Coordinator for our Saint-Bruno (QC) facility. Based on general instructions, you will facilitate user training for the various sectors and consult with engineering and production regarding technical solutions, using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software like Catia. You will also ensure CAD database control management and act as a coordinator and primary contact for Bombardier Transportation North America (BTNA) activities. In your role as a CAD Analyst-Coordinator, you will: Consult with engineering and production regarding technical solutions, using CAD software (Catia); Participate in task related time/resource requirements evaluation; Manage CATIA v4 and v5 methodologies and co-ordinate interdepartmental software usage; Manage all CAD software databases and support the development of the engineering drawings tree; Test new CAD software tools (3D viewer, Catia electrical module, and new Catia versions); Participate in writing, updating, and improvement of CAD specific software applications; Facilitate user training for all sectors: theoretical and practical course development, scheduling, and delivery; Establish self as CAD expert for BTNA (all divisions) providing access and support as necessary, represent BTNA within the BT global software user environment and manage licensing, registration, and warranties for all software(s); Support management in the selection, implementation, use, and maintenance of all department specific software requirements (all sites); Facilitate authorization and acquisition with Bombardier Transportation Group; Qualifications As our ideal candidate, you possess: A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent; 3 to 5 years of experience in technical support to users; Experience in 3D design; Experience in user training; Proficiency with Catia software; Excellent English and French communication skills (written and spoken); Knowledge of Spanish language (asset).
