We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Agent for our Thunder Bay facility

Your Role

The incumbent will be responsible to support the operations in the introduction of improved processes and problem solving process. He will lead Company and site initiatives such as SCIP (Site continuous improvement plans) and BOS (Bombardier Operating System).

Your Challenges

Facilitate kaizen events and improvement workshops;
Providing Lean principles training as required;
Create value stream and process maps and apply them to identify and implement improvement opportunities;
Lead significant improvement projects, co-ordinate with other functions (e.g. Engineering, Facilities, Procurement) to ensure successful project completion. Monitor and verify the success of all CI projects;
Lead BOS implementation on Thunder Bay site. Produce implementation plans, deliver training and monitor progress;
Establish process cycle times, rebalance workstations and activities to ensure cycle time meets Takt time. Create workplace visuals.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Operations & Logistic Engineering or in Operations Management will be preferred. Other field of study will also be considered with relevant experience in Continuous Improvement;
Minimum of 5 years of experience in improvement through Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing exposure;
Strong ability to educate, coach and train people on Continuous Improvements principles and tools;
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
