We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Specialist for our Thunder Bay (ON) facility.

Your Role

In your role as a Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will support all operations in the introduction of improved processes and problem solving processes. You will lead the company and site initiatives such as Side Continuous Improvement Programs (SCIP) and Bombardier Operation Systems (BOS).

Your Challenges

Implement global logistics strategies within the project processes and suggest areas for improvement of supply chain management performance;
Support the operations in the implementation of procurement strategies;
Facilitate kaizen events and improvement workshops and providing Lean principles training as required;
Create value stream and process maps and apply them to identify and implement improvement opportunities;
Lead significant improvement projects with other functions of the facility to ensure successful project completion;
Establish process cycle times, rebalance workstations and activities and create workplace visuals.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Industrial engineering;
5-7 years of management experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment;
Supply chain management experience will be considered as an asset;
Experience having implemented a continuous improvement process using Just In Time, Lean Manufacturing, 5S or Six Sigma principles;
Experience in the implementation of a change initiative;
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken);
Knowledge of an ERP such as SAP will be considered as an asset.
