We are looking for a Contract Administrator, Project Management for our facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Your Role

The Contract Administrator is mandated with recognizing and is responsible for protecting our rights within our customer contracts through systematic monitoring and documenting of project events and developing, suggesting and implementing strategic course of action to identify and minimize risks and develop, enhance and materialize contractual opportunities.


Your challenges and responsibilities:
Read, understand, assimilate Bombardier Transportation, customer, supplier and partner rights and obligation, along with all procedure and processes defined in the contract documents. As the incumbent will be the most knowledgeable person about the contract documents, he/she will develop and implement key strategies aimed at protecting Bombardiers interests and to ensure proper contractual integrity. This task requires superior communication skills in any language required by the project.
Manage, coordinate and validate all customer, supplier and partner correspondence, minutes of meeting and deliverables, to ensure a prompt response in accordance with the terms of the contract. Define all contractual gates as well as the strategy to reach and succeed such gates. Ensure that all members of the core team apply strict contract compliance and document any deviations, its consequences and the party responsible for such deviation. Identify and strategize to mitigate contractual risks and develop margin enhancement program utilizing contractual opportunities.
Analyze and summarize contract documents in order to train, coach and guide all members of the project core team and Business Unit leaders in ensuring that the work being done on the project is in conformance with the contract documents and that any variation is captured and documented.
Participate in all design review and project review meetings in order to ensure contract compliance and/or record deviations to the contract.
Set up and/or provide index containing documents exchanged with customer, consultant, partners and vendors, along with user guidelines. Ensure proper application of the claim and chargeback processes. Lead or support in negotiations of claims and chargebacks.

Qualifications

Your Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in one of the following disciplines: Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Engineering or Finance. MBA will be considered an asset.
7 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction or large engineering projects.
Experience in analyzing complex contracts and terms.
Familiar with a matrix organization will be considered a strong asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft programs and Lotus Notes.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Proficiency in a second language will be considered an asset (French, German, Spanish).
Availability and willingness to travel internationally.
