We are looking for a Coordinator, Spare Parts and Inventory Control for our Thunder Bay facility Bombardier provides state-of-the-art systems that enable rail vehicles to operate at increased speed and track capacity without compromising the very high safety standards. Our solutions have been delivered to 50 countries worldwide. In addition, Bombardier is developing applications that will lead to an environmentally friendly driving style, heightening our environmental contribution and provision of value based solutions to our customers. Your Role The Spares Coordinator assures that the site has all of the necessary materials on-hand to allow efficient Test & Commissioning, Product Support and Modifications activities. The primary objective is to have no lost time in any of these activities due to material shortages. Your Challenges Represent Customer Service/ Product Introduction within the organization, and also to the Customer and suppliers, on all material and warranty issues. This includes assuming responsibility for all site data including material on-hand, failed material, warranty costs, etc.; Educate all site staff regarding the materials process in order to build a solid understanding of the contractual relationship between BTNA, the Customer and our Suppliers. Design and implement systems to ensure that we minimize our costs through solid Inventory Management and ‘Backcharging’ to our Suppliers and the Customer. Identify opportunities, and make recommendations, within the Customer Service team to improve business systems for managing inventory and recovery rates with our Suppliers and the Customer; Compile and verify reliability and material on-hand data based on warranty claims and material consumed and provide analysis to site manager, project management and the plant for action with suppliers; Coordinate Modification material by reviewing expediting reports, and allocating mod kits to cars according to available inventory. Maintain levels or parts used on a monthly basis not pertaining to mod kits. Issue RTPs to restock material or repair charges. Maintain and organize warehouse according to pre-set materials and safety standards. Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications College or Bachelor Degree in a related field; Minimum 6 to 8 years of materials/inventory experience; Experience in a manufacturing environment is required; Experience in rail industry will be considered as an asset; Knowledge of MS Office, Maximo, MS Project, Lotus Notes and Adobe Writer; Bilingualism (French and English).
