Job Description
Description: Position Description: This opportunity is for a Systems Design Manager for the Evergreen Rail Transit Extension. The position will have responsibility for the managing the preparation of the design of the Systems elements for the extensions to the Transit System, for coordination with the Civil/Facilities Managers, and for leading the testing and commissioning phases of the Systems installation. Systems elements could include Track, Traction Power Supply and distribution via third rail Train Control, Communications, SCADA, Corrosion Control and Fare Collection. It is anticipated that Projects will have Lead Designers for each System Discipline and a Systems Integration Engineer. Design teams will report through the discipline leads to the Systems Design Manager who will in turn report to the System Manager. Requirements: Experience Required: Minimum 15 years Design experience with the following LRT Systems is required: Trackwork, Traction Power Supply, Third Rail, Train Control, Communications, SCADA TPSS, plus a thorough understanding of the interfaces and integration of these Systems with each other, with Rail Vehicles and with the Civil/Structural elements of the project.
