Job Description

In this position, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Develop working drawings from sketches (determine appropriate scales, layout and need for specific details) and from concepts communicated by the engineering team.
- Develop and implement a revision control system for design deliverables.
- Compliance with and enforcement of company policies and procedures to ensure quality control.
- Ability to work effectively within a design team and provide leadership and direction to less experienced design staff.
- Work with minimum supervision to accomplish project milestones and deadlines in due manner.
- Revise and verify drawings created by others, integrating the design concept.
- Have a clear understanding of client provided guidelines and procedures
- Document, maintain and communicate changes in standards and guidelines
- Advise the project manager of the best use of project tools to achieve project objectives
- Be able to trouble shoot and resolve user issues with the project tools
- Advise engineering group on requested changes to prevent adverse effects on the project deliverables.
- Assist in the assurance of quality, consistency and integrity of the electronic handover of deliverables
- Promote coordination within the group, with other disciplines.
- Develop graphics and 3D models for proposals and presentations, as required.
- Working in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
Candidate Specification As the qualified candidate, you possess:

- Technologist/Technician diploma from an accredited college.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in infrastructure sector (aviation, roads and highways, rail and transit, tunnels)
- Expert knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, InRoads, InRail, is a must.
- Experience in development of project layout and civil/structural details is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
