To satisfy our growing operations and upcoming projects, we are looking for Electrical Engineers for our Saint-Bruno (QC) facility. You will be responsible for delivering a product or system and integrating it to a rail vehicle. This involves working with one or more suppliers to deliver a product that meets the specifications and performance requirements of Bombardier Transportation and its clients. This work involves phases of design, qualification tests, product manufacturing, in-plant support and operational support. In certain cases, development is done internally, so a greater proportion of the work is related to design. In your role as an Electrical Engineer, you will: From basic instructions and instructions from superiors, closely monitor engineering activities according to the project schedule. Ensure that deliverables are of sound quality and delivered on time; Monitor technical development, support the design engineers as needed and verify technical drawings when completed; Review and comment on technical proposals from suppliers. Take part in design reviews with the supplier. Evaluate preliminary manufacturing costs to orient future efforts; Prepare documentation for the client. Prepare testing procedures to validate the design. Participate in qualification tests at the supplier and qualification tests on cars and draft resulting test reports; Take part in meetings and workshops with suppliers and the client and attend internal engineering reviews; Support and monitor the production of the first cars. Design the installation requirements based on manufacturing capacities and limitations. Address corrective action so that the product achieves an acceptable level of reliability; Ensure the quality of work done ahead of schedule. Provide technical support to the Technical Publications function and the Procurement function for follow-up on technical problems. Qualifications As our ideal candidate, you possess: A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering; An Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO) certification (asset); 1 to 3 years of experience in electrical design; Experience with electrical system integrations (asset); Experience in the heavy manufacturing industry (asset); Knowledge of rail norms and standards (asset); Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English. Additional information: You must be available for traveling (25% of the time).
