We are looking for a General Manager, Material Solutions for our Mississauga office Your Role The purpose of this position is to lead Material Solutions and move it over the next 4-5 years from a USD 50 Million dollar a year business to a USD 100 Million dollar a year business. A Business Champion that will lead and motivate, create and implement processes that improve service and improve profitability to the Material Solutions team. Your Challenges Direct and organize Material Solutions to deliver excellent level of service and on time delivery of Material and services activities to enhance Bombardier Customer centered culture; Lead the development of strategies, and new product development that capitalize on our competitive advantage and market position; Lead the introduction and implementation of new systems and software that will allow the business to provide improved service at lower cost than the competition. Insure interface with business & Financial Management System, provide Change Management Leadership to Material Solutions organization to meet business key performance indicators; Enhance our material sourcing program through vendor selection, agreements, royalties, commissions, partnerships, etc.; Focus on business growth through products, markets, sales activities, innovations, diversity, etc.; Ensure the Material Solutions portfolio is entrenched into the Rolling Stock side of the business ; Optimize Material Solutions business. Reviews P&L against Budget (meet or exceed budget); Follows all Policies and Corporate directives. Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications Bachelor of Administration or combination of relevant experience. Minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience, including experience in material solutions, purchasing and after market support. Previous experience in the railway industry will be considered as an asset. Excellent English communication skills. Must be available to travel.
