Job Description

Description:

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and the City of Toronto are planning a new Light Rail Transit (LRT) route. This USD 10 billion program consists of 100km of light rail transit with about 13 km in tunnels. There a total 95 stops including 12 underground stations.
We are currently in need of a Head - Signals.

The successful candidate will: Have excellent design and managerial abilities in signaling; be capable of overseeing a signal design effort in support of the LRT project; provide quality and senior level technical reviews of drawings and specifications. S/he will also function as the technical authority in formulating, developing advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. S/he will also be proficient in producing project proposals/presentations, and in building / maintaining excellent client relationships. This individual will have excellent analytical, teaming and communication skills and be able to effectively relate to all staff and client team members within a team based,
matrix environment.

Requirements:

- A BSEE or other appropriate degree
- Minimum 15 years relevant experience in transit industry
- Knowledge of passenger railroad / transit operations
- PE or P.Eng registration required.
