We are looking for a Manager Procurement & Warehousing for our potential Montreal maintenance site. Your Role The Manager Procurement & Warehousing will be responsible to negotiate with existing suppliers and source new suppliers, in order to support the growth of the Material Solutions Business Unit. The incumbent will be responsible for Purchasing functions from RFQ issuance to receipt of materials and/or services, manage inventory levels, work with Vendors to ensure product availability, delivery scheduling and to solve any pricing or other issues. The incumbent will also be responsible to manage the set up of the two maintenance facilities. Your Challenges Manage all aspects of day to day operations of the Procurement function, i.e. timely management of issuance of RFQs and POs and delivery of materials and services. Assist with development and implementation of systems and procedures in SAP to increase fill rates, while reducing operating costs and improving customer service. Source and procure materials and services and participate in the negotiation of major vendor contracts. Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers. Performs a variety of complicated tasks; Responsible for the selection of all sub-contractors regarding repairs and service to all equipment and assets in compliance with contractual and Bombardier policies. Responsible for all invoices, contracts, etc. for facility maintenance. Responsible for the governance of sub-contractor for cleaning services; Lead effort in proposing Capital Improvements on all shop equipment based on analyzing age, cost of repair and innovative technology. Work with Maintenance Manager and other key staff for identifying cost efficiencies relating to utilities, machinery, tools, etc. Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications Bachelors Degree in related discipline and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. Railroad experience or any type of Heavy industry experience. Previous experience managing a team or within a leadership role is required. Bilingualism (French and English).
