We are looking for a Manager, Structures and Bogies for our Saint-Bruno (QC) facility.



You will play a key role in leading a group of engineers and designers in the design and analysis of railway car bodies and truck structures for small, medium and large scale projects. Being well organized and scheduled driven, you will be able to make sound engineering decisions based on customer requirements, cost and manufacturing efficiency to deliver a quality and reliable product to the mass-transit market.



In your role as a Manager, Structures and Bogies, you will:



Manage the engineering pool of resources by setting objectives and evaluating the performance of resources, managing the career path of employees, allocating resources to multiple projects as required, setting work priorities and hiring temporary and permanent resources as needed;
Manage technical orientations and activities for high priority technical issues;
Respond to project requests by allocating appropriate resources for work package delivery by planning and monitoring progress of work package delivery to meet baseline requirements set by projects (scope, cost, schedule, quality) and managing work package changes;
Participate to process improvement activities and development of methods/tools to improve performance by implementing use of standardized tools and processes and monitoring key performance index for the group;
Manage hours and cost budget and provide reporting to management.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you possess:



A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering;
A minimum of 10 years of experience in personnel management;
Experience in mechanical engineering;
Experience in the heavy manufacturing industry (asset);
Knowledge of Structural analysis;
Knowledge of Nastran, Patran and Hypermesh software (asset);
Proficiency with French and English (written and spoken)
