Job Description
Job Description Our client, a leading Consultancy working within the Transportation Industry is seeking to employ a Project Manager to be based in South Africa working on a major transportation project involving a Metro system and Rapid Bus system). You will be responsible for a variety of duties ranging from monitoring the qualitative outputs of the project, and offering suggestions and recommendations for optimising the outputs, through to monitoring and evaluating the project to ensure milestones have been reached, and reporting on the progress. You will report regularly to the DOT with regards to the progress with plans covering infrastructure and system development phases, as well as progress with operational preparedness. You will be responsible for maintaining an overview of the progress of each project and highlight emerging issues that may impact upon cost and programme. It is essential that you have previous experience of working on major transport systems (ideally with experience of working on Metro and BRT systems from cradle to grave). You will have strong project management skills, be degree qualified and will have experience of working overseas.
