Senior P Way Design Engineer ? South America

Our client a major contractor is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join their team international infrastructure team based in South America. This role will suit an individual who has experience leading a design team who have been involved p way design including track alignment, trackform, components and configuration and Heavy Haul Railway design

In this role you will be responsible for:

Providing key technical guidance and input on the project

Review design drawings, material specifications, baseline criteria, for development of design criteria and resolve any issues arising/shortfalls

Review S & C design implications and identify shortfalls

Providing design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.

Ensuring project change for design packages is fully implemented and recorded

Developing engineering requirements and deliverables in line with project requirements.

Leading a design team utilising expatriate and local design resources as required.

The ideal candidate will be aChartered Engineer or educated to HND/ HNC level (or equivalent qualification) in an Engineering subject with experience in a Railway environment. You will also be aware of construction methods and materials and have knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices, Microsoft Office applications and CAD standards.
