We are looking for aSoftware Design Engineer Microsoft.Net, Train Control Management System (TCMS) for our St-Bruno (QC) facility.



Under the supervision of the Project Engineer, you will work closely with colleagues to design, develop and test the software components of the Wayside Train Control Management System (WTCMS), which is used to support the operation and maintenance of rail fleets from the control centre. You will also work with fleet management components, graphical user interface components, network tools and data traffic management servers..



In your role as a Software Design Engineer Microsoft.Net, TCMS, you will:

Based on requirements, the specifications of internal or external clients, and in compliance with mandatory standards, perform complete and detail studies, drafts technical documents, and carries out mandates assigned by the Project Engineer;
Record the detailed design according to established internal development processes;
Perform software module development;
Prepare and perform procedures for software module unit tests;
Participate in reviews of design documents and software modules;
Briefly assess development costs to steer the development of assigned projects;
Prepare documents to be submitted to clients and suppliers;
Occasionally perform maintenance on previously developed software modules based on problem reports from the site and on-hand documentation.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you possess:
Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent;
Minimum 3 to 5 years with formal methods in development processes;
Experience with C# 3.0 programming language and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, or newer;
Experience with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF);
Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio Team Suite;
Knowledge of SQL Server 2008-2010 and Oracle 11g;
Knowledge of Web Services (protocols, WSDL, configuration);
Knowledge of Ayende Rhino Mocks (or other component unit test);
Knowledge of Infragistics user interface component toolsets;
Excellent English and French communication skills (written and spoken).
