We are looking for a Special Tools and Diagnostic Equipment Engineer for our Saint-Bruno (QC) facility.



From general instructions, you will be responsible for the follow-up of all customer deliverables related to special maintenance tools and diagnostic equipments of a project, from design to delivery. You will also make sure that all deliverables are submitted on time and meet the customer requirements.



In your role as a Special Tools and Diagnostic Equipment Engineer, you will:



Plan and follow up technical activities;
Analyze the customer technical specifications to extract the specific special tools and diagnostic equipment requirements;
Evaluate the suppliers technical proposals;
Analyze technical packages submitted from the suppliers and approve technical documents such as drawings and technical descriptions;
Participate to the design reviews with the suppliers and customer;
Approve the test procedures to validate the design of the equipment under your responsibility;
Attend the qualification tests of this equipment at suppliers;
Follow up on the delivery of the equipment;
Attend the equipment installation and commissioning at the customer.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you possess:



A Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or the equivalent;
A membership of the ‘Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec’;
3 to 5 years of experience in design of maintenance tools;
Experience in testing electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment;
Experience in engineering project management (asset);
Knowledge in the railway field (asset);
Excellent communication skills in French and in English (spoken and written);
Knowledge of Spanish or Mandarin (asset).
