Job Description
Description: The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and the City of Toronto are planning a new Light Rail Transit (LRT) route. This USD 10 billion program consists of 100km of light rail transit with about 13 km in tunnels. There a total 95 stops including 12 underground stations. We are currently in need of a Senior Supervising Architect. The successful candidate will be a Registered Architect with extensive experience in multidisciplinary architectural and engineering design development and project management with primary focus in the development of transit and railroad facilities, including stations, transit centers, maintenance and storage buildings, as well as control centers in the management of multimillion-dollar projects. Previous related architectural project experience must include the development of public transit systems. Experience must also encompass conceptual planning, design development, final design, scheduling, contract administration, project management, client relations, contractor selection, and construction management. Requirements: A Bachelors degree in Architecture, A Masters Degree is a plus, Professional US (RA) registration, or Canadian architectural registration is required with at least 15 years related experience. Active participation in a professional architectural societies and additional architectural certifications will be pluses (Example: Certified Architect and LEED Accredited Professional).
