We are looking for a Supervisor of Supply Management for our Thunder Bay facility Your Role Under the direction of the Manager of Logistics; the supervisor arranges and supervises the procurement of equipment and materials used for the facility and for the manufacturing of passenger rail transit vehicles. Your Challenges Supervises Buyers and Clerks. Supervises procurement of all items required for manufacturing or other defined areas of responsibility. Authorizes commitments within defined limits, supervises selection of suppliers and placing of orders. Assigns work to Procurement staff, ensures timely completion; monitors productivity and deficiency of subordinates. Establishes sound supplier relationships; coordinates activities of Procurement and other departments within the Company. Supervises and assists in Procurement responsibilities associated with bid projects such as preparation of Special terms and Conditions, Request for Quotation forms, etc. Ensures that the prevention of accidents and injuries is integrated into all aspects of the occupational environment, and into every work activity, including the purchase, design, construction, operation and maintenance of equipment. Qualifications Your Experience and Qualifications Graduate of a two-year, four (4) semester technical course at a Community College in International Business program or equivalent; At least 4 years of purchasing experience; 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a unionised manufacturing or production environment; PMAC certification will be considered as an asset.
