We are looking for a Supervisor - Testing, Commissioning & Modifications for our Toronto (ON) facility. You will supervise employees of Testing,Commissionning, Warranty and Modifications department to ensure proper process and procedures are adhered to, while delivering quality products on time to the customers specifications and expectations. In your role as a Supervisor, you will: Design and implement systems to ensure that vehicle throughput is maximized; problems are minimized and quickly rectified when found; Ensure repair of rail cars follow the warranty process and that use of vendors is in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract; Develop clear communication with customers for all car moves, crews and track requests or special logistic requests; Monitor updates of commissioning boards and ensure that progress status reports are communicated to the rest of the organization; Adhere to budgetary guidelines by overseeing scheduling of all activities of Bombardier personnel, vendors and customers; Participate to the daily operation briefing to review the status of commissioning, warranty work and modifications; Create and maintain a spirit of team work and ensure development of training programs for the staff; Verify that all phases of operations are conducted in accordance with safety requirements and that the staff complies with safety rules; Develop tools and key performance indicators to measure efficiency of the team. Qualifications As our ideal candidate, you possess: A College degree in Engineering Technology or the equivalent; Five (5) years of experience in testing and commissioning; A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Supervisory or leadership role; Excellent communication skills in English; Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite Office and Lotus Notes; Experience in using SAP (asset).
