We are looking for a Supplier qualification Specialist for our Saint-Bruno (QC) facility. You will support supplier base strategy and Project Procurement Manager by leading the supplier evaluation and approval process for identified suppliers. You will conduct periodic supplier performance assessments, together with buyers and engineers, and present feedback to suppliers. You will also work with project teams to develop new suppliers and address problems associated with current supply. In your role as a Suppliers qualification Specialist, you will: Initiate new and lead existing supplier development projects; Maintain Suppliers qualifications. Support the Request for quotation process in order to ensure quality requirements are considered and adequately specified; Conduct audits in cooperation with Quality department; Track and update suppliers information; Attend and prepare performance reviews covering the areas of Logistics, Quality and Product Introduction; Report low performers to Division level. Put action plan in place; Manage charge back process; Conduct harmonization meetings to validate information with supplier. Qualifications As our ideal candidate, you possess: A Bachelors degree in Industrial engineering or equivalent; An Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) certification (asset); A Six Sigma certification (asset); 4 years of experience in production, quality, engineering, procurement or logistics; Experience with supplier audits; Knowledge of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety issues (asset); Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both French and English. Additional information: You must be available for traveling at 50% of the time.
