We are looking for a Testing and Commissioning Manager/Specialist for our Kingston (ON) facility.

You will lead and support projects for the development of test procedures, cases, methods and equipment. You will ensure the thoroughness of the above on the basis of requirements and in coordination with engineering, sister divisions and suppliers alike. You will also implement risk based testing principle to identify priority tests and ensure test design will maximize early identification of defects, while fulfilling the need to demonstrate compliance and verify performance, functionality, endurance and reliability of products under test. You will develop standardized and reusable (from product to product) test cases for compliance to international standards and maintain traceability to said standards via specialized tools. You will also maintain log of progress, observations, lessons learned and opportunity for process improvement.

In your role as a Testing and Commissioning Manager/Specialist, you will:

Lead team for development & execution of Test Plans, Procedures, Cases, Methods;
Conduct peer reviews and provide technical leadership to T&C engineers;
Liaise and coordinate sister divisions, partners and suppliers;
Develop best practices and lessons learned;
Ensure Compliance to Standards and provide technical leadership to ensure testability of requirements, systems and equipment;
Develop new instrumentation and test methods.

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate, you possess:

A Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics);
10 years of experience in engineering;
At least 8 years of experience in test and commissioning;
Knowledge of rail and/or aerospace products;
Demonstrated leadership skills to manage a group of 10 employees;
Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
