We are currently looking for a Technician, Testing & Commissioning and Product Support for our AMT contract in the Montreal area (St-Eustache, Lachine, St-hilaire)

Your role

Under the supervision of the Supervisor Customer Service and Product Introduction the person has the responsibilities to Troubleshoots all railcar systems to properly identify all malfunctions. The incumbent will also analyzes schematics, blueprints and modifications notices/charts to decide on the best course of action to solve various electrical, mechanical and electronic problems. Execute modifications and close snag work orders when required.

Your challenges
Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems to identify malfunctions.
Analyze schematics and blueprints to address problems and failures within the electro-mechanical and electronic system, such as wiring for grounding, misswires and electrical component failures as well as irregularities with electronic components and faulty mechanical parts, etc.
Conduct necessary static and dynamic testing using electronic diagnostic equipment, uploads/upgrades operational software.
When needed, research for proper drawings, schematics, functional description documentations etc… using the BT tool such as SMB.
Obtain from the PI supervisor the list of snags and modifications to be implemented on the cars and execute the work.

Qualifications

Requirements:
College diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience will be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Experience in transit system design and applications is an asset.
Must be computer proficient.
Must be willing and able to travel within the Montreal area and work overtime, odd hours, weekends and various as required.
Working week ends is a must since the cars will be mainly available during that time.
Must be fluent in French and English.
